Introducing IPC Machining
IPC Foundry Group is thrilled to announce the launch of IPC Machining. Established following our April 2026 acquisition of a precision machine shop, this new division allows us to take even more components from prototype to market-ready products, all in-house. IPC Machining serves as both a strategic supplement to our investment casting work and a high-capacity partner for standalone machining projects.
Want to learn more? Here’s what we bring to the table:
Capabilities
IPC Machining brings nearly 10,000 sq/ft. of new production space, precision equipment, and a new team with rich technical expertise to the IPC portfolio. With IPC Machining, you have access to:
Up to 4-Axis Milling: High-capacity production utilizing Horizontal and Vertical Milling centers for complex geometries and tight tolerances.
Precision Turning: Advanced Swiss Lathe and standard CNC lathe operations for high-speed, intricate part manufacturing.
Prototype to Production: A seamless workflow designed to take projects from the R&D phase through to high-volume manufacturing.
Support Equipment: In-house surface grinding and automated sawing to ensure precision in every part.
Comprehensive Secondary Operations: Tackle everything with IPC, including: anodizing, plating, heat treating, powder coating, Cerakote applications, sand-blasting, tumbling, and more.
Material Versatility: We work with a wide range of materials, including Aluminum, Stainless Steels, Tool Steels, Carbon Steels, and Plastics. Need something unique? We are always willing to invest in the right materials and tools to meet the specific requirements of our customers' projects.
Why Choose IPC Machining?
Location, Location, Location: Situated just 300 yards from our Utah foundry, IPC Machining eliminates transit delays, freight risks, and shipping costs for projects requiring both casting and machining. This immediate project hand-off dramatically cuts lead times.
Quotes Done Quick: We provide detailed, accurate machining quotes in 48 hours or less, allowing you to keep your project timelines moving without delay.
Combined Manufacturing Perspectives: Casting and machining expertise under one roof provides a unique advantage. We view your parts from every angle to optimize production, avoid pitfalls, and solve problems on the fly.
Decades of Experience: The IPC team brings deep technical expertise across diverse industries, with a proven track record of delivering complex, tight-tolerance projects.
Collaboration and Culture of Problem Solving: We love a good manufacturing challenge and never turn away a project just because it's difficult! Our close proximity enables our casting and machining teams to collaborate face-to-face and solve production hurdles quickly.
Automation and Continuous Investment: IPC continually invests in its customers through automation, state-of-the-art equipment, expanded capacity, and new capabilities.
Priority for Casting Work: Operating within the IPC ecosystem means your casting projects that require machining are always a priority, never competing for machine schedule space like they would at an outside shop.
Single-Source Accountability: We take full responsibility from quoting to shipping. By keeping the entire process under one roof, you have a single point of contact and zero multi-vendor friction.
Quality You Can Count On: No stress, no crossing your fingers, just perfectly machined parts, every time.
Looking Forward
There’s still a lot more to come for IPC Machining. We are actively expanding our capabilities, including plans for in-house tooling and utilizing recently purchased CMM equipment, while growing our team to stay ahead of our customers' evolving needs.
Blake Williams, President of IPC Foundry Group,
shared his perspective on the acquisition and what’s ahead:
“This acquisition accelerates IPC's expansion into machining and complements significant projects and partnerships we have in the works for 2026. We're excited to welcome the IPC Machining team into the IPC Foundry Group ecosystem and look forward to what we'll build together.”
